Curi-Cancha Birding Tour

Your guide will provide detailed information about the bird species you are likely to  observe, and will lead you to known hotspots in the reserve to help you increase your chances of spotting your preferred targets. However, as all birders know, the behavior of wild species is very unpredictable, and many species are migratory, so it’s certain what you may find out on the trails. No matter what birds you spot, you’ll have a chance to learn about the area, its plants, and its animals. The Curi-Cancha reserve is a favorite for birders, and on this tour you’ll travel along natural trails covering a variety of habitats, with  the opportunity to observe birds in open areas of secondary and primary forests. This area borders the Monteverde Cloud Forest, making it a site with varied biodiversity.

Important Notes: 

• This tour is only available on private basis.
• All guests must show a valid picture ID (can be a copy or the original)
• We limit tours to a maximum of 9 participants per guide for better enjoyment.
• Encountering wildlife is not guaranteed. Exploring the reserve with your guide will give you the best chance to spot some of the many species that inhabit the cloud forest, but ultimately you are venturing into the natural habitat of wild animals, whose behavior is impossible to predict with certainty.
